ASK Project

ASK: Adapting Science for Kids

ASK is a professional development project funded by the National Science Foundation. The aim of the project is to study the effect of "adapting science for kids" (ASK) to teach and reinforce student skills in reading, writing, and other areas of the curriculum while learning science through hands-on inquiry. The original project participants include elementary school teachers from rural districts in Missouri and Iowa. As part of the project, this website was launched so that teachers nationally and internationally can share teacher lesson adaptations and video recordings of ASK lessons and discuss their ideas about local, state, or national standards.
